Britmead House is a lovely Edwardian house situated just off the A35 between the bustling historic market town of Bridport, with its twice weekly street markets, and the seaside and harbour at West Bay, with its beaches and facilities for fishing and watersports.
 
There are many attractions and activities to be found locally and throughout West Dorset; from hiking the hills, fossil hunting and watersports, or maybe just relaxing on the beach.
 
Accommodation
 
Britmead B&B accommodation offers a choice of rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, including two on the ground floor and two family rooms. We want your holiday in Dorset to be a relaxing one, so please let us know if you have any special requirements. All rooms come with Tea & coffee making facilities, Refrigerator, Television and a Hair dryer.
 
Breakfast
 
Breakfast at Britmead is served from 8am until 9.15am in our light and airy dining room overlooking the garden. You can choose from a range of fruit juices, cereals, museli, yogurt, dried and fresh fruit followed by a traditional English breakfast. If you prefer, there is also a continental breakfast with croissants and preserves or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and of course a choice of freshly brewed tea and coffee. We also offer a range of speciality teas and decaffeinated tea and coffee. The emphasis is on the best fresh produce, locally sourced where possible.
 
Children Love West Bay
 
Britmead is a family run guest house and has a large safe garden. In a quiet corner you’ll find our chickens and they love attention. Sometimes, they wander freely in the garden, so you never know where you might find an egg! West Bay is only ten minutes walk away and has large beaches which are great fun for children and adults alike.
 
Accommodation for Dogs
 
We welcome dogs at Britmead guest house by prior arrangement at no extra charge. You can walk them nearby in the fields leading to West Bay.
 
Smoking
 
We operate a no smoking policy throughout the accommodation.

Tariff

There is a choice of double, twin and family accommodation. Rates vary throughout the year with doubles and twins from £64.00 and family rooms starting  from £74.00 in low season. This includes a full English breakfast. Prices vary according to length of stay and the season. Discounts are available for stays of 3 or more nights, (excluding bank holiday weekends). Please contact us for the current rates.
