Oaker View has been graded 4 stars by VisitBritain and is a stone cottage built in the mid 18th century. The cottage is situated in a tucked away location on the edge of the Peak District National Park in the Village of Darley Bridge. Sleeps 2-3 and the cottage has been completely refurbished in 2007 and also has 2 pubs in the village which both serve food if you don’t wish to cook.

Oaker View, is a two person cottage and enjoys views overlooking the Peak District National Park and is ideal for walking as it has a large variety of walks from the doorstep. Just step across the road and you have a large woodland where wild deer are in abundance, go down the road and walk along the River Derwent or alternatively you can head into the open moorlands.
The Cottage has been recently redecorated to a very high standard but had lost none of its original charm and character, with a king sized bed, an extremely large and luxurious bathroom, a kitchen/dining room and a comfortable lounge.
Please note that for the comfort of our guests, we do not allow smoking at Oaker View.

The area
Darley Bridge is a small village situated less than half a mile form the A6 between Matlock and Bakewell and consists mostly of buildings built around the mid 18th Century. Oaker View is close to the heart of the Derbyshire village, which straddles the River Derwent.
Local attractions
Oaker view is an ideal location as it has the advantage of being situated in a quite village but is central to Matlock, Chatsworth, Bakewell, and Chesterfield. The one reoccurring theme in the visitors' book is that our guests' expectations are always exceeded.
With lots of attractions and great days out for all the family to enjoy in and around the village of Darley Bridge. From beautiful and very grand stately homes - Chatsworth House is just a ten minute drive - to donkey sanctuaries, stone henges, delightful dales, splendid estates, theme parks, ancient caverns and caves, fabulous farm shops and more.
The Peak District offers something special for everyone from great Derbyshire pubs to visit, beautiful and historic Derbyshire churches and of course the ancient tradition of Well Dresings.
