Guest beers include Moravka, an unpasteurised Czech lager brewed locally in the village of Taddington.

Good standard b&b accommodation is available with 5 letting rooms offering a range of configurations. Real fires, good pub food and the local flavour make the unpretentious Horse & Jockey a favourite with the village locals and visitors alike - the pub would make a great base for a group of mates looking for a Peak District walking holiday, for instance.

Prices
Good value b&b accommodation is available midweek from around £45 per room, per night including cooked breakfast. Weekend rates (Fri/Sat/Sun) from around £60.

Single and family (triple) occupation rates are also available - please enquire.

Opening hours
Opening hours are 12 noon to 11pm sunday to thursday and 12 noon to 11.30pm friday and saturday, though if you're in when the door shuts we are licensed to serve consiberably later.

Currently serving food from 12 til 3 every day including sunday lunches, and evening meals are available friday and saturday 6 til 8.30.

Tideswell
Tideswell is a 'proper' working village with many facilities - takeaways, pubs, shops etc. It is centrally located at the heart of the Peak District and its church is often referred to as the 'Cathedral of the Peak'. Close to Tideswell is famous Castleton, Chatsworth, Monsal Dale and Bakewell.
