It has a very cosy feeling at night to sit down in front of the open fire and relax.

Things to Do
There is more to do or see than can possibly be listed here, but, as a start...

Outdoor Activities
There are wonderful walks along the many hills and dales, with Bradford Dale and Lathkill Dale on your doorstep,  along with the high peak  or Monsal trails.  We have Matlock just 4 miles and Bakewell just 5 miles down the road.   There is also cycling at Middleton Top or Carsington Reservoir.  With the Peak District National Park so close the walking is excellent.

Tourist Attractions
Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are just a 5 minute drive down the road, whilst Hardwick Hall and Bolsover Castle are less than ½ an hours drive away.  Matlock bath with Gulivers Kingdom and the Heights of Abraham is 5 minutes drive in the other direction but if it’s a steam train you are interest in then the local volunteers run a steam train from just outside Two Dales into Matlock. Buxton Opera House, welldressings and farmers markets are all within the local area.

Pubs and Restaurants
There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the local area.  The Whitworth Park, is just 5 minutes walk, or alternatively, the Square and Compass and Three Stags heads are a 20 minutes walk along local footpaths and all serve food.  Bakewell has a range of specially shop including the original Bakewell pudding shop, whilst Matlock has antique shops and also an art gallery from the famous wildlife artist Pollyanna Pickering.
